Extra Points: Notre Dame

USCFootball.com South Bend, Ind.- The USC Trojans left the field at Notre Dame Stadium 34-27 winners of one of the more dramatic games in the storied rivalry.
And while emotions ran high on the way to the locker room, the somber reality that USC kept Notre Dame close late by committing several penalties that gave the Fighting Irish extra chances and extra yards.
"I hate that this happened in this game," USC head coach Pete Carroll said. "We had these guys right where we wanted them, but we didn't put it away because we left them in the game with our 60 yards of penalties in the fourth quarter."
