Stew: injuries stop Devine
MORGANTOWN--For the second straight game, Noel Devine, the nation's 10th leading rusher, was held below 100 yards Saturday when WVU knocked off Louisville 17-9 before 55,334 customers at Puskar Stadium.
Unlike last week, when USF held the 5-9, 176 pounder to 42 yards, this time the injury bug bit the youngster who was averaging 119 yards per game coming into this Big East affair.
"An injury stopped Noel Devine," said the coach. "He has been hurt for two weeks, but I didn't want to say anything otherwise I would be accused of whining."
