After a rough quarter against UCLA last weekend, the Oregon State defense stepped
up their game on Saturday in Berkeley. This week's Giant Killer tally was close
with safety Lance Mitchell narrowly edging linebacker Keaton Kristick. This
is Mitchell's second award of the year.

The Beavers did an outstanding job up front limiting Cal's running game to
39 yards. Stephen Paea earned his third MVP award in a row and his fourth on
the season, while linebacker David Pa'aluhi tied for third place among the unit.
