Turner's recruitment picking up at QB, ATH
Arlington (TX) Sam Houston junior quarterback Jamal Turner was almost a one-man show for the Texans during the 2009 season, rushing for 1,809 yards and 18 touchdowns - an 8.1 average per carry - and throwing for another 1,816 yards and 13 touchdowns. Unfortunately for Turner and his teammates, it was not good enough to get them into the playoffs as they finished with a 3-7 record.
With football season over, Turner is now quickly transitioning into other interests. Even though the 6-foot, 170-pound junior played his final football game of the year last Friday night, he already has a basketball game this Thursday to look forward too.
