With the game seemingly well in hand for Florida up 30 points neat the end of the third quarter, Florida State faced a fourth down and goal at the two-yard line. Prior to the play, the Seminoles called a timeout to discuss the situation on the sideline.
What resulted was the decision to kick a 20-yard field goal. As time expired in the third quarter, Florida State was finally on the scoreboard, but down 30-3.
