Detroit Southeastern defensive tackle Johnathon Hankins picked up an offer from Michigan last weekend, and this weekend he was in Ann Arbor taking an official visit with the Wolverines. The 6-3, 300-pound Hankins detailed his trip after returning home Sunday.

Heading into his official visit to Michigan, Hankins said he wanted to discuss the Wolverines' offer and why it came late in the process. The Michigan staff talked about that extensively with both Hankins and his parents.
