Hawkeyes add one late in-state
While many thought the Iowa Hawkeyes might be done with the 2010 recruiting class, they brought in talented in-state athlete Tanner Miller for an official visit this past weekend and one more look. By the time he left on Sunday, the 6-foot-2, 200-pound Miller had an Iowa scholarship offer and a new college to call home.
"Yes, it is true," said Miller via text message. "I committed to Iowa last night."
Miller, who was previously committed to UNI, is projected to play safety at Iowa. In high school, he racked up huge numbers as a running back at Mid-Prairie, finishing with 1,846 yards and 23 touchdowns this past season, which earned him first all-state honors in Class 2A alongside future Hawkeye James Morris. On defense, the two-star prospect had 64 tackles and one interception.
