Spring position preview: Offensive line
Missouri will open spring football in less than a month. Between now and then, PowerMizzou.com will take a look at every position on the roster headed into spring drills. We look today at the offensive line:
The Starters: The Tigers bring back four from last year. Elvis Fisher and Dan Hoch man the tackles with Tim Barnes in the middle. Austin Wuebbels started at left guard last season and Jayson Palmgren gets first shot at replacing Kurtis Gregory at right guard. Missouri has plenty of experience and there shouldn't be a ton of shuffling on the line.
The Backup Competition: Justin Britt redshirted last season while Jack Meiners saw some time as a true freshman. Those two seem certain to be heavily involved in the rotation and could push for a starting job somewhere along the line. Returning players Taylor Davis, Daniel Jenkins and Travis Ruth will need to make an impression this spring and begin pushing for legitimate playing time soon.
