California lineman likes Vols
Over the last several months La Mirada, Ca. offensive lineman Isaac Luatua has emerged as a priority target for Tennessee at a very obvious need position. The Vols are dealing with some obvious distance issues in their pursuit of the West Coast standout, but a a tight bond with offensive line coach Harry Hiestand is giving Tennessee a chance to overcome that obstacle.
The former Chicago Bears assistant has been staying in contact with the versatile lineman and the communication is beginning to pay off.
"We send each other emails and talk about how the offense runs and how much I like the school, how much he likes me and how I play and stuff," the 6-foot-2, 300 pound lineman said. "They're recruiting me harder than any other school is recruiting me right now."
