Georgia DB piling up offers
It would be safe to say Avery Walls is getting plenty of mail. The McDonough, Georgia defensive back recently added four more written offers to his list, bringing the total count to 30. In the last week, Wisconsin, Southern Mississippi, Oregon and Purdue added their letters to the list of suitors, just in time for summer break at Union Grove high school.
This is not to say Walls will be taking the summer off. The versatile Peach State star emphasized that the three months leading up to his senior season would be spent improving his game.
"Friday was the last day of school," began Walls. "So from this point on until the beginning of the season, I'm going to be running hard, always working on my backpedal and staying low, just things like that to better myself. I can handle things good enough but there are always things I want to work on."
With a competitive attitude to go with his hard-hitting defense, it is easy to understand why dozens of colleges covet his services. Rivals.com got his thoughts on the latest schools to make him an official offer:
Oregon: I've been talking to John Neal the defensive backs coach for a long period of time. They have a real great team in the Pac-10 right now and they're an up-and-coming team. They've been to eleven bowls in the last twelve years. They have really good coaching there, really great players and a very good School of Business.
