Tight end Ryan Malleck, a 6-foot-4, 230-pounder from Point Pleasant Boro (N.J.) Point Boro High School, has seen his stock rise since the spring evaluation period.

When NC State offered in late-May, it was his second offer. Now he has six in total. Joining State on the offer list are Maryland, Virginia, Central Florida, Navy and Army. Navy is recruiting Malleck for defense because they do not use a tight end.

Malleck admits he was surprised by the Wolfpack's offer.
