NU commit flew under radar...until now
Defensive end Max Chapman of Ponte Vedra (Fla.) Nease may not have had a high profile with Rivals and other recruiting services, but he certainly did with college recruiters.
The 6-foot-3, 230-pounder committed to Northwestern on Wednesday, choosing the Wildcats over offers from more than 20 FBS schools, including Illinois, Indiana, Purdue, Oregon, Stanford and West Virginia.
The irony is that none of those offers were reported on Chapman's player page and not a single story was written about him until this morning on WildcatReport. In fact, most, if not all, recruiting observers didn't even realize that the talented prospect was on Northwestern's radar.
