When will Richt hear from NCAA?
Mark Richt once again provided little details regarding the eligibility status of wide receiver A.J. Green, except for one not-so-tiny bit of information he reluctantly revealed during the very end of Tuesday's press conference at Stegeman Coliseum.
The question - when does Richt believe the University will have an answer back from the NCAA?
"I'd be highly disappointed if we don't hear something this week. I would think we will," said Richt, before leaving the media room to continue to his regular-scheduled rounds.
Otherwise, there was not no other information forthcoming on Green, who was held out of last Saturday's opener against Louisiana-Lafayette until his situation could be clarified by the NCAA.
Green, who is listed as "TBD" in Georgia's official pre-game depth chart, will continue to practice with the team.
"Until we know something one way or the other A.J. is going to practice," Richt said. "When we practice we always have our No. 1s and our No.2 practicing. If A.J. lines up at No. 1 or No. 2 and the other guy lines up at No. 1 or No. 2, he'll be getting reps at the position A.J. will play so it won't be like there's not somebody getting reps. Kris Durham got a lot of reps there last week in practice and in the game, and as it turned out he was the one who turned out catching the fade at the goal line and all those situations so we'll just continue to do it that way."
