Texas linebacker Melvin Spears has wanted to visit Iowa ever since the Hawkeyes were the first team to offer him a scholarship back in February. This week, the 6-foot-2, 215-pound Spears will have his chance as he will be flying up with his father on Saturday to make his official visit and watch the Hawkeyes host Penn State.

Currently, Spears holds offers from Iowa, Minnesota, North Texas, and Arkansas State.
