There's much more to the game, but nothing more that directly influences the only statistic that matters -- the final score. The Gamecocks can play fantastic defense, out-rebound the opponent, spread the ball to as many players as possible, hit every intangible there is, but if they can't put the ball in the hole, all of the other won't matter.
