McMinn enjoys visit
Being committed to the Hawkeyes since July, Riley McMinn used his official visit this weekend to get more comfortable with his surroundings in Iowa City. The 6-foot-7, 220-pound defensive end had a chance to sit down and talk with the coaches, including about recent issues in the news, meet several of the players, and much more. He talks about the experience in this update.
Q: What was the official visit like for you?
McMinn: It was really great. It was just more reassurance that I made the right decision. We came down Friday night, checked into the hotel, and had dinner with the coaches. Then this morning, we went to Coach Ferentz's house for breakfast and that was about it.
As a senior, McMinn finished with 63 tackles and 12 sacks in leading Rochester to a 14-0 record this year. Back in July, the three-star prospect committed to Iowa over scholarship offers from Boston College, Illinois, Wisconsin, Kansas, Minnesota, Indiana, and Memphis, among others.
