'A Great Way to Start the Class'
A week ago news began to leak out that San Antonio (Texas) Brandeis offensive tackle Kyle Marrs had become Oklahoma's first commitment of the class of 2012. However after a week rolled by many wondered if that was in fact reality for the 6-foot-6, 302-pound blocker who had made little, if any, public comment about his rumored decision.
Coming into last weekend Marrs had talked to SoonerScoop.com about the possibility of a commitment when he arrived in Norman.
"No I don't think it would be (out of the question). I'd have to talk with my parents and make sure that is what we want," Marrs admitted on Jan. 24.
Upon arriving Marrs spent some time around the coaches and says that he wasted little time in letting head coach Bob Stoops know of his decision. Not surprisingly the lead Sooner found a talented offensive lineman as the ideal place to begin for the class.
