Fuller continues to pick up offers
U.S. Army All-American athlete Devin Fuller can already just about take his pick of colleges.
That's the kind of offer list the Old Tappan, N.J., standout has put together.
It's a list that continues to grow. Late last week two schools offered Fuller and on Friday a third came along with a scholarship.
"Miami and South Carolina offered and actually I got another one yesterday, too, from Kentucky," Fuller said.
While the Hurricanes and Wildcats may have some ground to make up, Fuller has been in touch with the Gamecocks for a while. He relayed a related story about that.
"I've been talking to South Carolina for a while. It's actually a funny story. They had thought they had given me an offer before but I didn't know I had received one. It was kind of an awkward conversation a little bit but I'm still happy I've got it," he laughed. "They said, 'We thought we reached out to you before,' and they were serious about me. We just weren't on the same page."
Fuller said he wants to visit all the schools that offer him but realizes that's probably not a realistic hope. He at least hopes to get out to all of the schools on the east coast.
He's also hoping he can visit all of the schools he decides he has a legitimate interest in. That's tough to tell at the moment.
Fuller, a 6-foot, 185-pound athlete that can play quarterback or any number of skill positions, said his next visit probably won't come until July. At the end of July he wants to narrow his list to ten schools.
He went on to say no school is a lock to make that first cut so far.
