Spring Review: Tight Ends
With spring practice all wrapped up, Gopher fans are already itching for fall to come with a new college football season. GopherIllustrated.com continues its look back at the spring by discussing what fans can expect from the tight ends. Led by athletic senior Eric Lair, this position is expected to play a bigger role in the team's new offense.
Most Gopher fans are well aware of the talent that Lair possesses. He is without a doubt one of the most athletic tight ends in the Big Ten, and he is the Gophers second best down field receiving option. With Lair's great combination of size and speed, he will be used in a number of different roles. I'd expect to see him split off the line more than we've seen in the past.
