Bledsoe planning Iowa visit

Jacobby Bledsoe has picked up several offers from mid-major schools, but the point guard from Fishers, Indiana is hoping that once the July evaluation period the interest from high major programs will start to grow. One high major that has been in touch with him is Iowa. The Hawkeye coaching staff has been in touch with his father, Sean Bledsoe, who is also the AAU coach for D3 Dorian's Pride.

"I haven't actually spoken to the Iowa coaches," Bledsoe said. "Since my dad is the coach of the team, he has spoken to them and they told him they want us to come out to Iowa for a visit this summer."

Bledsoe hasn't set a date for the visit yet, but the 5-foot-9 and 160 pound point guard is interested in learning more about the Hawkeye program.

"I would love to play in the Big Ten, so obviously I'm interested in what they have to offer. I think their style of play is a good fit because I like to push the basketball and get after it on defense."

While the Hawkeyes have not extended a scholarship offer, Bledsoe does hold offers from Drake, Dayton, Colorado State, Oregon State, Western Michigan, and Western Kentucky. With the start of the next portion of the AAU schedule a few weeks away, Bledsoe is planning on attending a camp at Kent State and also a team camp with his Hamilton Southestern High School teammates at Purdue.
