EAST LANSING - Back-up quarterback Andrew Maxwell got onto the field for one series in the season opener against Youngstown State.

But the experience Maxwell gained from the six plays he was on the field in the fourth quarter against Youngstown State paled in comparison to the experience the former Midland star gained by playing in three full series on offense against Florida Atlantic.
