Dodson has some thinking to do
SAN ANTONIO - Kyle Dodson said after the U.S. Army All-American Bowl that he has a lot of thinking to do in the coming weeks whether he should stick with his Wisconsin commitment or flip to Ohio State.
The Buckeyes have been making a serious push for the 6-foot-6, 315-pound four-star offensive tackle from Cleveland Heights, Ohio, and he said he's really thinking about both programs.
"I'm just thinking I have a lot of thinking to do," Dodson said. "I have a lot, a lot of thinking to do about college because I plan on deciding pretty soon.
"They're pushing very hard. They're recruiting me like no other. They're recruiting me pretty hard and I talk to the coaches every week. It's going to be a pretty hard decision.
"They really want me to be a Buckeye. They want me to be left tackle. They were telling me how much they like how I move and how bad they want me."
Dodson, rated No. 20 at offensive tackle and No. 174 in the 2012 class by Rivals.com, has been committed to Wisconsin since June but with numerous coaching changes there and the first-year staff at Ohio State a change is being considered.
Auburn and USC are also involved but many believe Dodson's recruitment will come down to which Big Ten program - Ohio State or Wisconsin - will land his services.
Over the next few weeks, Dodson will have to make his decision.
"I'm really considering it," Dodson said.
"I'm going to think through everything that's going on with Wisconsin, the situation with the coaches, all the things that are happening with the coaching staff.
"I want to figure out whether I want to be at Ohio State and see if I could be comfortable with them and whether I want to go there."
