Gordon saw the field last year, mostly on special teams, a little bit defensively. Not only did he lose the starting post to Ryan, but he fell to third on the depth chart behind Brennen Beyer, then a true freshman. Gordon didn't complain, though, or languish over what could have been if he stayed healthy.
