Mitchell came to camp as a different man
If you go back to around the Capital One Bowl in January it appeared sophomore Nebraska cornerback Josh Mitchell was on his way out of the program.
The 5-foot-11, 155 pound Mitchell didn't even travel to Orlando with the team for the bowl game and he mysteriously disappeared from the line-up after starting the Washington game and have five tackles and a pass break-up in the Huskers 51-38 win.
From that point on the only action Mitchell saw was limited time on special teams and zero time at cornerback. It was one of the bigger mysteries from 2011, because Mitchell played so well in the Washington game.
In his first interview since last season the California native said a lot of things contributed to his fall-off, all of which he blames on himself.
