Post-Game Q&A: Defensive containment again an issue

TheWolverine.com Michigan senior quarterback Denard Robinson climbed through the record books Saturday while freshman tight end Devin Funchess accomplished a feat that hadn't been achieved in 15 years and junior wide receiver Devin Gardner had a breakthrough day, however, U-M's continued struggles defensively and along the offensive line overshadowed a trio of individual performances fans won't forget.
How big of a concern is it that Air Force rushed for 290 yards against the Michigan defense? Anyone that doesn't want to acknowledge how difficult it is to prepare for a triple-option offense run by only four teams nationally, especially a week after a game against Alabama, is being simply shortsighted, eager only to point a finger and not understand the cause. However, we can give Air Force credit while at the same time stressing that Michigan's defense, especially its edge containment, must improve significantly or it will be a long season for U-M.
