"I thought he had a great game," Simpkins said. "We had a lot of guys defensively that weren't making plays, but every time he was in a position to bring the ball carrier down, he was wrapping up.

"He was always on the attack. He plays with an aggressiveness that you like to see and want to see out of more guys on that defense. In two games, I think we've seen a lot of our guys just sort of sit back and wait for the ball to come to them, and what you want instead is to take the play to the offense. He's the one guy that does that consistently."
