MSU the early leader for in-state junior Nick Padla
Michigan State offensive line coach Mark Staten and Michigan wide receivers coach Jeff Hecklinski have both made the trek to Berrien Springs (Mich.) to check in on offensive linemen Nick Padla.
Neither of the two in-state Big Ten schools has offered the 6-foot-5, 260-pound guard yet, but Shamrocks coach Bill Bergan is confident that Padla will have several scholarship options to choose from before long.

Michigan State, Michigan, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Pittsburgh, Notre Dame, Cincinnati, and several Mid-American Conference programs have expressed interest in Padla.
