Simpkins: Robinson is still the emotional leader

Ron Simpkins isn't on board with trotting Denard Robinson out at running back or wide receiver this week if he's not healthy enough to play quarterback. Why not? Because if he can't play QB he can't be effective at another position either.

"I've heard some of that talk about getting him on the field and protecting his injury by not having him at quarterback, but if he only has one good arm it doesn't matter what position he's playing, he's not healthy enough," Simpkins said. "Do you want him carrying the football with one arm? Trying to catch it with one arm?

"I obviously want to see him play Saturday, he deserves to play, but he's either healthy or he's not."

As he does every Tuesday, Simpkins spoke to TheWolverine.com today in offering his analysis of last weekend's game.
