Patience pays off
West Virginia will face a stiff challenge this weekend against a very stingy Oklahoma defense, and it will be essential for the Mountaineers to establish an offensive balance by moving the ball on the ground.
The Sooners have only allowed three touchdowns through the air to opponents this season, while giving up only a total of 325-yards per game.
And being able to effectively run the football this weekend is an issue that the Mountaineers will work on diligently during practice this week to set up some plays down the field in the passing game. But that will be no easy task against a skilled defense with a pair of talented safeties that make plays in the box.
