Purdue enters tonight's game at No. 2 Michigan a 16.5-point underdog, but the Boilermakers have shown signs of life in recent weeks. They've won three straight, including a 79-52 blowout of West Virginia in their last outing, in looking like the Purdue of old.

"They are playing really well right now," our scout, a 40-plus veteran of analyzing Purdue basketball tells us. "If they had played like this during the non-conference, they would easily have three to five more wins, but it has taken a while for some of the young guys to figure things out - and for head coach Matt Painter to settle on starters and groupings throughout the game.
