Scouting Purdue: Boilermakers have improved

TheWolverine.com Purdue enters tonight's game at No. 2 Michigan a 16.5-point underdog, but the Boilermakers have shown signs of life in recent weeks. They've won three straight, including a 79-52 blowout of West Virginia in their last outing, in looking like the Purdue of old.
Our Purdue scout provides intel on this year's Boilers' squad.
"They are playing really well right now," our scout, a 40-plus veteran of analyzing Purdue basketball tells us. "If they had played like this during the non-conference, they would easily have three to five more wins, but it has taken a while for some of the young guys to figure things out - and for head coach Matt Painter to settle on starters and groupings throughout the game.
