Friday Thoughts: Michigan experience made Tom Brady
It's no secret Tom Brady is conflicted about his time at Michigan. On one hand, the two-time captain, now one of the NFL's best ever quarterbacks, surely feels he got a raw deal in having to split time with young Drew Henson. On the other - and as he's admitted - he might not be the Tom Brady had it happened any other way.
The Orange Bowl is the one memory most Michigan fans have of No. 10, a 35-34 win over Alabama in which Brady willed the Wolverines to victory on a Muggy January night. It was a heroic performance in which an exhausted Brady would run to the bench, vomit behind it and return to action to lead comeback after comeback and assure the seniors would go out with a victory.
