Analysis: Shane Morris has chance to improve quickly
In an ideal world, Shane Morris will not see the field Saturday against Notre Dame, but if the freshman quarterback is thrust into action, he will be much further along than most backups, let alone rookie signal-callers, thanks to his experience against Central Michigan.
"The best thing about the weekend was he went in during the third quarter, when Central Michigan still had its starters in the game and Michigan had a lot of its first-string guys in there too," former U-M quarterback Spencer Brinton said. "Instead of just going in to run out the clock, he had the chance to manage the game, manage the huddle and run three meaningful drives.
