Maize 'N View: Jeremy Gallon will rank among best receivers
Michigan's receiver legacy could stand up against any other program's. Beginning with Jack Clancy in 1966 (explanation to come), eight U-M receivers have been recognized as a first-team All-American. Could Jeremy Gallon be next? And where will he stand among the Wolverines' all-time best when the season ends?
First, a note on why I started with Clancy in 1966 -- in consulting with U-M historian Bob Rosiek on many occasions for many terrific projects in our Football Preview editions, he has always considered Clancy the first modern-day receiver, transitioning from the 'end' post that Bennie Oosterbaan, Lowell Perry and Ron Kramer played.
