Bruins make inroads
UCLA is hard out on the recruiting trail and they are making positive inroads on one of the entire nation's best prospects. The Bruins are in competition with some of the country's best programs but some good work was done and now the UCLA are legitimate players for a guy who most feel is sure-fire five-star prospect.
The player in who the Bruins made progress with is wide receiver Arrelious Benn (6-2, 210, 4.45) from Washington (D.C.) Dunbar.
The Bruins aren't the only school on the west coast that has eyes for Benn.
Besides UCLA; USC and Oregon have also offered the east coast wide receiver.
Other schools besides the three west coast schools that are recruiting Benn hard and have offered are Notre Dame, Illinois, Miami, Florida and South Carolina.
It is no secret why Benn is such a hot recruit. As a junior, he was all-league, all-metro and all-area after catching 49 passes for 1,149 yards and 17 touchdowns.
