Clemson is hoping to bag a minimum of two linebackers for the 2006-07 recruiting class, likely three, and one top target is Memphis, Tenn., Christian Brothers star Chris Walker.

The 6-foot-2, 215-pound backer has built an impressive offer sheet this spring, picking up full rides from Tennessee, LSU, Alabama, Arkansas, Clemson, Miami, Memphis, Louisville, Kentucky and Vanderbilt.

Last week schools from Miami, Notre Dame, Michigan, Clemson, Tennessee, Arkansas and LSU stopped by. And LSU and Clemson called last week.

"Coach (Les) Miles at LSU called and that was big," Walker told Tigerillustrated.com in a Saturday interview. "It meant a lot to me that he called me personally. He told me he can really use me. He wants to get me down there for a visit, and told me he wanted to see me as soon as possible. I'm probably going down there towards the end of this month."
