Clemons clarifies his Michigan offer
Michigan got a big late process boost to their 2002 recruiting class with the commitment of Pittsburgh product Steve Breaston. Already the Wolverines' all-time leading return man with one season still left to go, Breaston was part of a run of Pennsylvania players signing up to play with the Maize and Blue.
That run could continue this year if they can shore up Breaston's cousin, New Kensington (Pa.) Valley wide receiver Toney Clemons.
The 6-2, 190-pound Clemons now holds eight total scholarship offers, a list highlighted by team such as Ole Miss, Pitt, Michigan State and Colorado.
He had been in contact with Michigan frequently, but was unsure about their official offer status. He says an offer from the Wolverines has been confirmed now.
