On May 8, 2006, Mesquite, Texas, receiver Krys Buerck became the Bears second commitment, joining Iola defensive tackle Rex McDougald.

Baylor was the first school to offer the 5-10, 167-pound wide out, Tulsa has since added their name to his offer list, but was listed as a soft commitment after saying he still wanted to attend a few camps.
