Johnson nearing decision?
It's been a big year for Franklin Central junior JuJuan Johnson. This spring the 6-foot-10, 195 pound center has proven that he is a national recruit and while his recruiting interest remains somewhat modest, he may end up being one of the best players in the very talented class of 2007.
Rivals.com currently ranks Johnson as the 85th player in his class, but his recent play and unlimited potential suggests that he may be worth much more to a college team next year.
Last week at the Indiana All-Star scrimmage between seniors and juniors in Ferdinand, Indiana, Johnson served notice that he is one of the top big men in the state. His 19 points, ten rebounds, and eight blocks helped the juniors cruise to an easy win and afterwards he updated his recruitment.
Johnson made the trip to West Lafayette this past weekend. The Boilermakers are one of the teams currently on Johnson's short list, a list that is about to get smaller.
He has already made unofficial visits to Indiana and Xavier lately and those schools, along with Purdue, seem to be the frontrunners in his recruitment right now.
