Changes for Richetti
It's been a difficult month for Dallas Lincoln blue-chip Richetti Jones. The all-everything defensive end prospect narrowly missed the coveted five-star cutoff by only a handful of spots, and it now looks like his plans to graduate in December have been derailed.
Regarded as one of the top football prospects in all of America, Jones was hoping to finish his high school career early and get a head start on his college career by enrolling in the spring semester instead of the summer or fall. It's a practice that has become more popular in recent years, and players have utilized the opportunity to take part in spring practice to get acclimated with the college game and often times, gain early playing time.
That was the exact plan for Jones, who is currently taking an English course in what he thought would be preparation for an early graduation, but he said this week that he was informed by representatives at Lincoln that the early exit isn't possible.
