Rodney Cox updates his recruitment
The term "dual-threat quarterback" clearly applies to Rodney Cox. Not many signal callers across the country can boast the numbers that Cox posted as a junior.
The 6-foot-6, 220-pounder completed 70 of 132 passes, 53 percent, for 1,471 yards. He also had an outstanding 17 touchdowns to just four interceptions ratio.
But it was with his legs that Cox did most of his damage. Using his 4.6-second speed in the 40-yard dash, Cox ran for 2,295 yards and 32 touchdowns. He also played limited time on defense, picking off one pass.
NC State was the first school to offer Cox, but four others have joined since then.
