Jawann McClellan won't be written off
Most of the talk and off-season hype leading into the start of practices next month has focused on the exploits of two Arizona wings, while a third, has basically been overlooked.
Whether it has been freshman Chase Budinger earning MVP honors of the McDonald's All-American game or sophomore Marcus Williams dropping nearly 60 points in a recent summer league game, those two Wildcats have been the center of attention for most of the off-season.
Meanwhile, sophomore Jawann McClellan, himself a former McDonald's All-American and ballyhooed recruit from Houston, Texas, has been largely forgotten after a year spent on the bench because of academic and injury problems.
The 6-foot-5, 210-pound guard has recovered wonderfully from knee and wrist injuries and says he is back close to 100 percent these days.
