Walker happy to be thinking about football
Brent Hubbs
VolQuest.com Memphis, Tenn., linebacker Chris Walker admits he is glad to be wearing football pads and starting two-a-day practices today. The 6-foot-3, 220 pound four star linebacker is happy to return to football for a couple of reasons.
"I am just ready to hit somebody again," Walker said. "It has been since November that we have gotten to hit people so I am looking forward to that. I am also glad to get back to football to take my mind off the recruiting process."
Walker has spent the summer focused on the recruiting process by taking sever unofficial visits including a trip a few weeks ago to Tennessee where he admits the Vols made up a lot of ground. Now, Walker is set on cutting his list to four or five schools by his first game of the season, which is on August 19th. And he is over halfway done to cutting that list.
"I am planning on taking my five official visits," Walker said. "Right now, Tennessee, LSU, and Alabama are all going to get official visits."
