Long time coming - Brown gets fifth star
This is turning out to be a big week for Curtis Brown.
First and foremost, the talented athlete will take to the field with his Gilmer teammates on Thursday for the Buckeyes' season opener against Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman.
On top of that, he'll get a chance to see his future Texas Longhorn teammates open their season against North Texas as the Horns begin their national title defense.
Perhaps most exciting, depending on who you ask, is the news that the Longhorn commit made a nice move up the Rivals100 rankings, and has now achieved the coveted five-star status.
On the field, the 6-foot, 174-pound playmaker continues to fine-tune his already impressive game, including getting in a lot of work with new Gilmer quarterback G.J. Kinne.
