Miles has no unique plan for rule
LSU coach Les Miles and his coaching staff have discussed the rules change involving the earlier starting of the clock on a change of possession.
However, don't look for the Tigers to exhibit any elaborate plans regarding the new timing rule.
Huge underdogs, like Louisiana-Lafayette on Saturday night, can certainly shorten the game by letting much of the play clock run out before snapping the ball following a change of possession.
The clock will start as soon as the referee signals the ball ready for play, not on the snap. But, Miles will not treat this as a basketball game where the more talented squad will do things to increase the tempo.
