Youngstown (Ohio) Cardinal Mooney junior defensive back Daniel McCarthy headed to South Bend, Ind., over the weekend to watch brother Kyle McCarthy play for the Fighting Irish against Penn State.

Kyle McCarthy is a redshirt freshman safety and also plays on special teams for Notre Dame.

The Buckeyes offered Daniel McCarthy a scholarship last week. The 6-foot-2 and 190-pound Daniel McCarthy is playing both safety and quarterback for Mooney.
