Beasley: 'I was overwhelmed'
It was Madness in Manhattan. But to Michael Beasley, it was just crazy. When the nation's top recruit entered Bramlage Coliseum on Friday night, the Kansas State student section chanted his name. Beasley talks about the feeling he felt during that experience and his thoughts on next season in an exclusive Q&A courtside with the boy wonder.
How much does tonight reinforce what you thought you already knew about this Kansas State basketball program?
I mean, this isn't about reinforcing anything. I'm still sold on Kansas State. I'm not going anywhere. Tonight is just a night to have fun.
What do you think about Madness in Manhattan so far?
It's been crazy. It's amazing. The crowd, the players are good and doing their thing, the dunk contest, everybody loved it. It's been a good night.
Had you been in the dunk contest tonight, would you have won?
Oh, definitely. Everybody knows that.
