Tigers focused on bouncing back against Cats
All season long, the Missouri Tigers have preached one game at a time. Saturday after Saturday in post-game interviews, the players have talked about "flushing it" and moving on to the next game. But this week brings a different challenge. For the first time all year, the Tigers have to move on after a loss.
"If you lose, you've got to flush it and get to the next one," said defensive tackle Lorenzo Williams. "24-hour rule, we see what all we did wrong, had a lot of mistakes in the game. We just didn't play our best game so what we've got to do is flush that and get ready to be 1-and-0 this week."
Only in the lost season of 2004 have the Tigers had trouble moving past a loss. In that season, Missouri lost five in a row after a 4-and-1 start. Obviously, Missouri has no desire to repeat that performance.
"You're going to lose. That happens," Pinkel said.
