Tucker goes off against Delaware State
MADISON, Wis. - It was Alando Tucker's best game of the young season.
The senior led the 7th-ranked Badgers to a 64-52 victory over the Delaware State Hornets, scoring a game-high and season-high 25 points, in game two of the South Padre Island Invitational Tournament. Aiding Tucker was Brian Butch, who added a season-high 18 points and 10 rebounds for his fourth career double-double.
This contest didn't come as easy as Sunday's game one victory when the Badgers destroyed Southern, 92-39, however. The Badgers led the Hornets, who played a slow-down style of basketball, by just six points at halftime.
But in the second half, Tucker scored 18 of his total points, making 7-of-10 field goal attempts and 4-of-6 attempts from the free throw line to open up the game and notch the Badgers' fourth win of the season.
