The Crew is back
It started with a fourth-and-inches stop on Texas' first drive of the game when Texas A&M junior linebacker Mark Dodge stuffed Texas running back Henry Melton in the red zone to force a turnover on downs.
It ended with Dodge holding an intercepted ball in the air, Texas quarterback Colt McCoy's third of the day, as the Wrecking Crew made a comeback as Aggieland's Prodigal Son finally made its return.
After holding the fourth best scoring offense in the nation to just seven points and 230 total yards, well below the 39.6 points and 407 yards per game average Texas brought into the game, Aggie fans can throw up the old "WC" hand sign not seen in College Station for quite some time as the Wrecking Crew is officially back in business.
The name "Wrecking Crew" has been on the tip of most Aggies' tongues this season, but something always kept it from being let out. Against Texas Tech it seemed there in the second half, but a last minute Raider drive nullified the what-would-be deafening sound.
The same could be said about A&M's heartbreaking loss to Nebraska since the defensive pressure is what allowed A&M to come back and gain a lead, just to see it slip away in the end.
