Prospects play under the Lights
The Southern Columbia Tigers (15-0) advanced to the PIAA Class A state finals for the ninth year in a row by beating Bellwood-Antis 35-0 on Friday night. The score was 14-0 at the half. Early in the third quarter Bellwood-Antis tried a fake punt at mid-field and it did not work. Three plays later Pitt commit Henry Hynoski rambled 31-yards to give the Tigers control with a 21-0 lead.
In the first half Southern Columbia blocked a field goal attempt. Henry Hynoski went 55-yards on the next play to give the Tigers a 14-0 lead. Hynoski finished with 206 yards and three touchdowns.
Southern Columbia is attempting to win their fifth consecutive state Class A title. They will meet West Middlesex (15-0) out of District 10 at 1:00 pm on Friday at Hershey Park. On Saturday afternoon West Middlesex beat WPIAL Class A champion Clairton 37-30.
